Question about the vacuum line, that leads from under the hood to that solenoid in the back. What path does it take, from the trunk to the engine bay? And where under the hood does it connect?

Bump. Anyone? Everything I found searching is either about error codes to unplugging the solenoid, or about zip ties to hold the flap open.
Really need to know where the line runs, and where it gets its vacuum from, even if not from under the hood.

I could be wrong on this as I don't have a 535. But, I have E46 330i and the vacuum source is the rear of the intake manifold feeding a vacuum reservoir bolted near the starter motor.

IIRC the line is on the right side of the engine compartment. You need to take off the cowl to see the hardlines that go into the firewall.
