I have a 2008 535i with 37k miles seems to run excellent starts perfectly on cold start up but once its warm it will have a rough idle on startup for about 5 seconds then go away . I appreciate the help if your familiar with this problem. Thanks, Frank535i

My '08 535i has an odd behavior...from a cold start...nice, easy crank, start, running. Exactly 60 seconds after the car is cranked & running...I can hear/feel something in the engine change...sorta quiets a bit, smooths out a bit. And...if I drive away BEFORE this 60 seconds...the car kinda skips (very slightly, sometimes not at all even)...acts like cars used to when they were "cold". But if I wait until AFTER the 60 seconds...the car runs perfectly. I wonder what happens at exactly 60 seconds after the car starts running?

I was going to say the same as E60dad with walnut blasting. Also, sparks plugs, and coils can cause this along with injectors. Plugs would be your cheapest task, but if you ever throw a code this would help to determine the cause, otherwise you could just be throwing money at it.
