My 4th one knock on wood is holding up since the Jan install...

My dealer still does not have the new software as per the tsb and the round table.. I've take the car in 2 time snow and they still do not have it... I've lost hope, and most likely won't get another BMW turbo motor ( which will be hard to do ).

BTW :BMW has also added 10year 120k to the HPFP warranty , and most owners should be getting a letter soon about it.

I had my car reprogrammed earlier this week, definitely returned the response of the engine back to the original state of tune. I feel that the car is much more responsive off the line.
It is true, you can hear a "wastegate/turbo rattle" at idle - although once under load the sound is more intoxicating.

I'm booked for this in the coming weeks so I'm pumped that it is provided in Canada.

+1. 535 has better bang for your buck (99% of the 550's performance at a lower price) but, to me, there's no substitute for cubic inches.

I have a brand new 09 535i manufactured in November of 08. How can i tell if i have a turbo lag? thanks. Scott
