New user here. I recently bought an 08 535xi that had a faulty DME/ECU. Had the unit sent out to have some MOSFETs replaced roughly a month ago. The company fixed it and shipped it out and I haven’t received an update on shipping since May 3rd. Even started a missing mail search to no success. What should my next step be? If I buy a used DME, is it as simple as getting it programmed to my car or do I need the original one to have it cloned? I really appreciate any help in advance. I’m not very familiar with these cars, the only bmw I’ve had in the past is an e38 and I never had this sort of thing happen.

I’m not sure yet to be honest. I’ve contacted their support at least 3 times now and have gotten nowhere. “Sorry it looks like we shipped it out” is all they can tell me apparently. And this is a company with 4.9 stars and nearly 2k reviews on google. I’m still waiting on a response from usps

I was in a similar situation. If USPS cannot find it, they'll simply payout the insurance NO hassle. I did not purchase additional insurance though, and so they only covered $50. I lost $130. Lesson learned.
