Nice debating style

1. Join the debate and say Better Make Way is wrong and the the 645 is faster

2. But then comes the crafty part - if you say it's useless to discuss which one is faster then no-one can argue further and you will be right .

3. Therefore the 645 is faster - cause you said so and it is useless to argue otherwise
Thank you needforspeed for the same remarks i tried to make, but you put it better being a native speaker.

No man...i've just seen the post. It was not about the quality...it was a poor joke, an offensive one. Not going to be bothered about it though...i've re-read my quote from my sig.
Man...just that sometimes i feel i'm not typing correctly, and i'm missunderstood but now i realised that all along the fault was not with me but with some others who are just too mindnarrowed or plain bad intentioned....

Bealive me i'm a petrolhead at the core but now to simply dismiss the performance/economy ratio of the 535d is absolute crazy.
I know exactly what your problem is BetterMakeWay. Like u mentioned above, u are a petrolhead at the core. And now u are driving a diesel. So being a petrolhead u need to compete your diesel with a petrolcar because u want your diesel to be as fast as a petrolcar and therefor justify your current choice.
And please dont get me wrong. The 535d is an amazing car.

O yeah, by the way. The 5.8 seconds till 100 km/h already was with automatic transmission, the manual 645 does it in 5.6. Sorry.

Yes and that's my point...to show the exact potential of the car.
Till 150-160km it compeats really good, unexpecting good. After that the battle begins to end slowly but surely.
With 2k you can have that fixed and i mean really fixed.
Combine that to a 13liters in heavy traffic consumption and it's really fun.
Yes and i do compete my diesel with petrolcars maybe because of the reason you mentioned or MAYBE because there are no diesels to compete with. The only one that strikes my mind is the E420 cdi but i haven't seen one yet. When i will i'll let you know what happened...in case it's not being run by a 60 yr old , and for sure by that time i'll be more than ready with the remap.
So there you have it pal: all my true friends are astonished by the pulling power of this...diesel. When the rest of the crowd present at the drag race saw that i pulled half a car length on the 1st time (because of the better start) and sustained it till 150 or so they all went wow. So yes it's the engine's credit it can compete with "semi-heavy" petrol cars. Why dismiss that? Because it's a diesel and it more economical? I don't think so. I also raced from various roll ons with E39 M5s and could keep up until certain speeds...wtf! If i say that again i'm told a layer...but it's the turth so help me God. Maybe i run into worse drivers, maybe their cars were more fatigued than mine, or maybe...i have some secret extra bhp like skaffa's 530d I dunno but i was able to keep up with 2 different stock E39 M5 and had my ass wiped by another white E39 M5 wich i heared now that it is not stock and it's running at least 450bhp at the engine. So what's wrong in competing with petrol if diesel territory the car rules?
PS:OK: here is the better alternative...you should tell me what cars to compete? How's that?
PPS (later edit): Pls let's end this. The only thing that really annoys me that still there is no bealive even when i come with a true real test (not talking about numbers here anymore). But i'm not going to waste my time anymore with the likes of you...no disrespect you are fully entitled to whatever opinion.

Speculating here - but the 535d's low down torque might make it an easier car to brake torque than the 645ci ?
A recent poster mentioned the difficulty in not going up in smoke when brake torquing a 535d. So, I am thinking .
