Not sure what software I have but you all need it. I will see if I can find out

Hi
Just picked up on this. Had my 535d M sport Auto from new in Sep 05, had initial fault that while 'creeping' in traffic gear box would jump out and then jump in with quite a judder. It got 're programmed' which cured this but then had the take off fault you have been describing. After 6 attempts by local dealer still no joy. Spoke to the BM tech centre to be told that engine had 'too much torque' and that there is no CURE!
So be interested to know is yours still OK and what was the upgrade that you had done. Despite 5 years old (66K) still love the car and would consider an ECU re program if it solves this annoying issue

Good luck on this one guys. I have an LCI and the gearbox is the best i have ever had the pleasure of, but there are times when there is a 'sh1t ye pants' moment when on a junction with a lorry hurtling towards you and the car is changing gear with no turbo spinning and reading the sports section of the local paper (or whatever the hell it is doing!).

Many have stated the remap makes a difference to the low end rev range and gear changes, and equally the gearbox reset (throttle for 25 seconds with engine off - search for it) also makes a difference according to many.

With this issue, is it everytime or only random times? if you can recreate it easily, then have the senior tech sit in the car with you and show him. if he can recreate it then there is no excuse! there is a lot of torque in the car but the box can handle it!

BTW, what year is your car?
