What type of injectors are fitted on the 535D: the new piezo (as in the new 730D) or conventinal solenoid type as on the 530D ?

In the press release for the 535d engine BMW said :

"Second-generation Common Rail serves as an injection system, whereby the flow characteristic of the fuel-injection nozzles was adapted to cope with the new level of output. Thanks to excellent overall efficiency, the 3.0 litre diesel with Variable Twin Turbo even falls below the specific fuel consumption of the basic power unit in certain driving situations"

For the new 730d with piezo they talk about it being 3rd generation injectors, so I would say solenoid injectors in 535d

I wonder what are these "certain driving situations"?

Are you sure colejl??? My lease on my e39 is getting over pretty soon and I don't know if I should wait till the end of the year to get the updated 535d, i will be keeping my car for 4 or 5 years so it's not a problem for me to wait a few months before getting the ultimate 535d
I am affraid they would leave this update waiting till the facelifted e60 in one or two years. I would end up waiting forever!!!!

Why I am asking this question is that I have seen the following thread in German http://www.motor-talk.de/t590492/f278/s/thread.html speaking about problem in the piezo zundung. Zundung is in German ignition. Maybe I am wrong but are the starting sparkpug in a diesel piezo based. So I cannot what else can be piezo in this engine.

Iceman Help !!! It is in German and you are the very best of us...

Just go to http://babelfish.altavista.com/
and enter http://www.motor-talk.de/t590492/f278/s/thread.html in the right place to get a pretty understandable translation

This guys 535d refused to start. The BMW service checked for error messages and he got about three pages. That's what he's talking about and just let the other ppl on the forum know about his problems.
Yes, it says Piezo-Z?ndung, Z?ndung is ignition...
And it says Rail-Injection, too much pressure...
