Unfortunately I am a very poor tech in this regard and what I have read was similar to general complaints what have been already mentioned in our forum too but seems that this is realy a serious subject for BMW and ZF for the time being and they have failed to find a final software solution though they say the new current cars are a bit improved in this regard. So it looks that they wud need to find a hardware solution which shud be implemented with MY2006 car. It is also a question who has take the blame for it: ZF or BMW. Naturally nobody wants to.

Please tell me on which bulletin board you found this information. Also was it only in relation to the 530D or the petrol models as well?

I will be meeting with both ZF and BMW next week and want to show them taht mine is not an isolated case.
