Mannn. As soon as my new MY07 comes to shore, we now talking about bi-turbos. Why can't just have some time to enjoy the car before it becomes a dinosaur in less than half a year into it. Never new innovation can be countereffective towards consumers until I met BMW. Well, it is what it is right?
Mine was a relic 6 months after taking delivery...

It'll be great, don't worry. Continual improvement is here to stay...

Sorry I seemed to miss it, but what are the stats on the new 535? HP/TQ wise?

I'm getting a little bored with my current e60 525i. No problems with the car itself.

I'm debating whether to wait for the 535 biturbo or go for the 550.

Any advice would be appreciated.
Trust me, on this...an advice from an adrenaline junkie if you don't REALLY need the extra room of the 5 then go for the 335i. It will be much more fun, that you can bet on it. Or wait for the new M3...

Well, it is not even copnfirmed that BMW will release the 535i. But supposing they come out, I would take the 535i simply because it is easier to tune and a chip would bring the horsepower and torque numbers up. Keep in mind that tuning MIGHT decrease engine life and you are screwed if your service advisor is anal about such stuff. If that is a problemn for you, then get the 550i. Either way you can't go wrong

With a simple remap that 335 will beat you the next time you face him.
That very true, turbo cars are easy to improve power on. The normally asperated BMW engine are already in a pretty high state of tune.

My upcoming 540i has 306bhp/390Nm. Based on this, why wouldn't they introduce the existing 540i 4.0lt V8 in the US instead of a new E60 bi-turbo 3.5lt V6?
