So you bought it in this condition right? After you are all done, how much money do you think you will save(not counting your time or the mods)?
Assuming a 2006 530i with 8000 miles on it is worth about $45k (USD)

Because of the cost of parts, I am not doing as well as I would like on this project. I am looking at about $32,000 for this one. I try and come out 1/2 the market price. The 1997 993 Cab (911) and this car were higher due to the parts. I am not sure that a $13000 savings was worth the effort and the salvage title that this one will carry. Time will tell.
The other problem I have is I have lurked daily on this forum. As a result, I want a 550I or a M5. Also, this 530 does not have the comfort seats. After reading a recent post on those seats I want them too. My plan is to drive this car for 2 to 4 years then go for the 550 or M5.

Its looking good, I know a few guys who buy these kinds of car to fix up and sell it because they make a crap load off of it, but they say that the ride will never be the same again after an accident that bad, but I dono, so let us know how it turns out, i'll be interested to see how everything goes... congrats!!

A salvage title is going to gut the market value of this car on the used market, I hope you are getting the bodyword very very cheap.

I would never ever buy a salvage car without knowing for sure it's history. There are some horor stories out there.
