I went in for the recall and got the latest software update. My steering wheel is now functioning properly, the passenger window no longer has a mind of its own, BMW Assist now works and I can play my mixed CDs finally!!! I don't think the recall affected anything -- just California emission codes for the smog test. I'm happy with my car again. Strange thing is Southbay BMW uses Enterprise and they gave me a Mercedes C class rental. Seemed like a strange loaner to get from BMW.

I don't even think these idiots over here know about a recall. I wish they could do something about my iDrive. Beginning to HATE my car and the BMW service Centers here in Germany
