Yea I opt out of those wheels already because of the tire size. Because I def need tires too. If I can't find anything soon I may buy the rims and get bigger tires separately. Kinda wanna go 20 but heard 20 may be a horrible ride quality.

I wouldn't go 20.. easiest thing to do is just go try these on. Will answer just about all your doubts.

Thanks dj, is it really as easy and using the jack, jacking it up and bolting on the new wheels? If I go try them on that is

Yes. No rocket science needed to change the wheels. Its like your installing your "spare" but in this case the "spare" is your new 166 rim(s)!

I got 166 REPS from a dude that had a E46. I got them for pretty much free lol. I am sure these will not fit the E60 without spacers. The guy told me I needed spacers as the 3 series fitment is different then the 5 series. If they do fit then let me know because then I won't need to buy any . They look really good on his E90 btw!

Haha, yea. I'm just a little uncertain how to tell if something's not right once I put the rims/tires on.

Like with TPMS and I've read the speedometer can get messed up too.

I'm probably just going to go for it with the knowledge I have and see what happens. (I'm a gambler at heart)

Go for a ride in that car.. then ask if you can mount them.. It is very easy, just like aretardedorage said.

You have a valid concern, the seller should be willing to let you mount them. Can't just put any wheel on BMW.

Thanks dj, how bout these, now these are 20' I know some may say don't go 20, but I can get them for a great deal. Are Milano good wheels in anyone's opinion. He told me they will fit perfectly in my 530, pattern is 5x120. From my research, they should go right on, after tpms is installed of course.

Woops here's that link http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum....php?t=1724076

I think that is a nice looking wheel.. I've just never been a fan of 20s on a 5 series.. just doesn't seem "euro" to me. But, the E60 is a bigger car than the E39, and so maybe a 20" wheel will fit it ok. I see they were on an E38, and they don't look bad on that car. Good price! that is for sure.

Thanks, im more concerned with the tire size being 245/40/20. I've read mixed responses about these rubbing. Anyone know the ideal tires that should be on a 20 in rim for my car?

I guess I can always buy new tires, I really like the rims Milano M746.

245 40 20 WILL rub. I have 235/35/19 and they barely clear. I can't imagine anything bigger not rubbing.
