I dont think it has a different bumper.

I believe there is a differnce in the lower front air vents, but I would have to see them sid-by-side to notice.

Apparently the 535d needs more airflow, not to mention bigger brakes.

Wonder why?

Wonder if all those tuned 530d's need the same since they are boosted up to the same if not more HP?

If you were to get the boosted 530ds approved here in Norway, you'd likely have to get the brakes improved too. But.. then again.. nobody ever get their chipped/turboed/supercharged cars approved, as it would cost a fortune in most cases ;)

Same car are the 545. Why would the 535d need to be different when the intake is the same on the 530d and 545.

Obviously the 545, with bigger engine volume and higher revving, will need more air than a 535d.

I think a turbo engine requires more forced air than a NA engine...

"In standard trim the BMW 535d conveys the power of the engine to the rear drive wheels via six-speed automatic transmission with Steptronic. Just some of the signs of distinction setting the new top-of-the-range diesel apart from the BMW 530d are 17-inch wheels with 225/50 R 17 tyres fitted as standard, a modified front air dam, as well as larger, round exhaust tailpipes like on the BMW 545i."

530d and 535d are both turbocharged, but the 535d has two turbos.. guess that might explain why there is a different need of air supply?

In Holland it is the same as the 545.
