530d software upgrades etc

I have recently purchased a late 03 53 530d. It suffers from the famous thump into gear before coming to standstill. The dealer is upgrading the gearbox software as we speak. Should I ask for any other upgrades before the warranty finishes? How can I persude them to carry out the upgrades. The car has bluetooth but not navigation

The 'software upgrade' affects all aspects of the cars software not just the gearbox - so this should bring you up to date.

You should see smoother gearchanges and less enthusiastic DTC intervention.

Not sure what they did but the gearbox is no longer slamming into gear before coming to a standstill. Not sure if the CIP was done (how can I find out?)

They did the door seals at the same time and so now I have no sqeaky doors either....now I just need to get rid of the woeful runflats!
