530d SE - Acceleration Problem
A couple of days back I noticed my car seeming to not want to accelerate when I floor the pedal..
Oil change yesterday and I thought I'd change the air filter too, what a pain in the arse just to change an air filter! But that aside..
I thought maybe the car was choking a little, see the vid as to what I mean. The car will slowly accelerate up to speed, but wont accelerate as fast as previously.. When I floor the pedal the revs increase but the speed doesn't.
From reading around, this seems like an MAF issue, what do you think?

matey ive just had the same problem, my car has had MAF sensor, fuel, oil, and air filter changed and yes what a drama to change an air filter, it ended up in the arms of the local bmw garage who advised of a new turbo. I would be grateful if someone could point out the egr valve on here that might hep.

Here is the EGR valve;

And this is how it can be removed:
1) Open the clamp to remove the EGR pipe (red)
2) Unclip the connector (yellow) and open the screw holding the wire holder (purple)
3) Remove the vacuum pipe located under the valve (green). The pipe can be barely seen in the pic. It's black/blue coloured (at least in my car).
4) Remove the clamp (pink) holding the air hose and twiggle the hose out.
5) At last, open the four bolts (blue showing one of them) holding the EGR valve in the intake manifold.

Here you can see the EGR valve cleaned up (nevermind the intake manifold still attached in this pic):

I hope this helps if this is what you were after
