Hi,
I have recently experienced a lot of white smoke from the exhaust. No power loss though.
I took it to BMW and they replaced the turbo and inlet manufold, water pump and exhaust bracket. They cleaned the cat and the particle filter as this was cheaper than replacing. I was told there still may be some smoke for a while whilst it burnt off. Now you would expect the smoke to gradually disappear but it every now in a while dumps loads of smoke out of the back. This would seem to me as though something was sticking open or shut rather than oil just burning off! Any suggestions would be very gratefull as i am now maxed out on my credit card. Was it the turbo and inlet manufold in the first place?
