You must have some serious mods to get 320bhp, what have you done to it?. The standard 530d turbo and injectors are only good for about 280ish I believe.
Would love to be pushing out 320bhp, i love the 260 i have, but theres always room for more if at all possible.

I'm also looking to install a better turbo sometime soon... but first i want a boost gauge so i can see how many PSI it's boasting now...

The stock turbo is at the limit and the pump / injectors also... 320 is max for the stock stuff, i'll be fitting a FMIC soon, but first i'll need to install lift pumps to be able to squeeze more power...

Im pretty sure the stock turbo just isnt large enough to push enough air to run 320bhp, thats nearly 100bhp over stock and dervs have little turbos due to the low reving nature(the *35d engine are one of the exceptions). I have never seen any company claim over 60bhp from a 530d by just remapping it. Who did your mapping?

320 horses from a 530d - that's wild. They say power corrupts, and its true. I'm getting 324.7hp (283 at the wheels as it's an auto of course) and 502 lbs ft from my 535 and it's not enough anymore. Though it was once enough to glue myself to the back of an Aston and piss off the driver when he couldn't get away from my diesel Touring ha ha ha. Who's got some serious (and reliable) power from a 535d, and how's it been achieved?

That isn't unrealistic gains. my 330d was highly tuned and was running 300hp (and that was from 204hp stock). Ant and Pete (the gumballers were running more than that on a 330d manual for the Gumball). The turbo isn't really the issue, it will be the gearbox. From talking to a lot of tuners in the UK 300/320hp was nearing the limit of the turbo but the gearbox was the real fear. One tuner who had done turbo conversions on the 3.0d engines said that on 2 of the 3 cars he had done, the gearbox blew up.
They do actually say here that the auto box is actually the better box to have over manual when tuning as it copes with the power better and can produce more power than manual cars.

Now im not one for 'racing' on public roads, have only done it twice in about a year, and i wouldnt even call it racing to be honest.
Recently had a little go against a civic type r, and couldnt get past it up to about 120mph, though it was spitting flames, so didnt think it was standard.
Just earlier had a little acceeleration test against some sort of toyota, i know most cars, but couldnt even tell what it was, maybe a starlet.
From about 40-90mph again i couldnt get past, then it was easy and i pulled of another road. Both these were on long straight roads by the way.
My car is a 530d remapped to 263bhp and 420nm on a rolling road.
Surely something isnt rigth here or maybe i am being to optmistic, but my car certainly doesnt feel sluggish or maybe all these teenagers are modding their cars to the full
these days. I thought mid range my car would easily pull away from most normal cars, but obviously not, then again 40-90 only takes a few seconds so i couldnt really
pull away easily within a few seconds.
Anyway, got that off my chest.
Any other experiences similiar to mine?

im guessing your problem could be 420nm = 310ftlbs , the remap has lost 60 ftlbs over stock ?
I will have a look when i get home and update.

not 360.... 323hp to be exact...
Dyno proves it... it's a stick BTW
i'm considering a FMIC for my E60, has anyone done it ? I have the FMIC that i had intended for my E36 325i...
Have you ever worked with the M57N motor? You will be amazed with what it is capable of...

Angelico bring on your dyno plot then for us to look at, preferably at the wheels. No remap alone will give 280bhp+ on a 530d. Jeesh. Of course, your dyno operator may have been a bit enthusiastic adjusting the intake temp correction?
I'll bring it up when i find the data transfer cable, but i'll be coming up with a video this weekend...
