the chassis of the 7er is bigger I am sure it is more heavier so.. if oyu do not hunt for an image...than you must see the same engine in a bigger and heavier car is maybe not what you really want.
my 530d flies like an ANGEL ... I am happy with the 50:50 weight proportion.
and you will have the new one piezzo candles smaller consumption, and if you want it you can still tune it until it will be your personal jet
Either 5 or 7 you stay with BWM family! cannot chosse bad.

msport package, steptronic, pdc, mystik blue, grey dakota leather, sunroof, Bi-Xenon, heated rear seats, Hi-FI system, velour carpets
You are talking about the latest 7-serie, right???
Go for the E60, much funnier to driver and with better performance with the 3.0 diesel engine.

The 7 is definitely more comfortable, but the new shape will be out in 3 to 4 years. I also gave the 7 some thought, but I am still young & have lots of time to get a 7.
Besides the 5 with MSports pack is something I had to have!

If it's the facelifted 7, get it!

The 7-series is just facelifted which means the car is at it's peak.
The new diesel engine with its 170 kW and 520 Nm of torgue is strong enough
to accelerate the 2000 kg car from 0-100 km/h in under 8 seconds.
The 5-series is executive, the 7-series President!

The 7 series is no fun to drive. I wouldn't have it. I would go for a Mercedes over the 7-series. Maybe the new S-Class would be a better choice. They just refreshed and it is the new model and will hold its value better than the 7 series which will surely get a new style within the next 2-3 years with rumors about a new model definitely 2 years from now.
The accelleration on a 730 also sucks compred to a 530, but the 7 series is definitely more plush and compfrtable with more space definitely in the back. Real stylish and more outstanding in appearance than a 5-series to me.
For me, it was about the driving. I test drove a 7-series and it was super boring and felt heavy, etc. Save some gas money too, and get the 5 series. Later when there is a new 7 series refresh, upgrade if you can stand the lack of driving fun. The 5-series for me was the perfect balence between comfort and driving pleasure. To me, I would go for a new S-Class over a 7-series because it was recently refreshed and they drive about the same.
