Alright, I am in the market for a new car. The car will be for my wife and she wants something with lots of trunk space. She currently drives a ML350 and HATES it, so we are trading it in. So, yesterday I went to the local dealer to check out the 530XI wagon. The MSRP was around $60k, but the car leases like CRAP. They wanted around $900/month for the car. Is it me or does that seem a bit expensive? I then decided to be pratical and check out the 325XI wagons and they wanted ..... drum roll please ..... $625/month. Thats more than I pay for my 330XI right now. WTF.

So, since the BMW wagon is not happening at this time, I decided to check pricing on the X5s. To my suprise I can get a 2005 X5 4.4 with Nav, Sport Pkg, Prem ..... pretty much EVERYTHING in it for only $700/month(most likely even less).

Why are the leases on the 530xi wagon such a joke?

The bad news is that I really like the BMW wagons, but the are not lease friendly and I am not paying $900 for a wagon.

the best leases lately have been on the X5 and the 545i. Any other BMW will be costly to lease at the moment.
