Hello peeps!

Just got this 2006 525i as my daily driver.
Black on Black. Very clean condition.
Im new to the BMW scene yet not newbie when it comes to cars.
I traded in my merc 2004 E320 for the 525i and i admit the 5 series is a beauty!
Would have loved to get the 530i cuz i believe its the most balanced-in-everything 5 series but i couldnt find any clean ones in the market compared to my 5.

The 525i is my daily driver so Im not looking for any heavy mods; besides its not worth spoiling it for the little gains it will give compared to the other 5's in its class. Im going to get M3 E46 for weekend fun and probably mod the hell out of it.

The 525i is sluggish and heavy to take off. Im not looking to race it or anything but Id like to give it more muscle without sacrificing the comfort and purpose of the 525i. the car definitly needs a small push to be as responsive as the E320 i had.

I only started my search yesterday and this is what i came up with:
- K&N filter
- Sprint Booster
- Boring the throttle body from 76mm to 79mm
this should give the car more response and hp
what do you think? what else would you recommend for the E60 525i?

Cheers!

Ps: Great Forum!

Welcome to the forum!!

1)To be honest, K&N wont give you any bhp increase (perhaps 1bhp?) but i do recommend you get, as you wont need to replace it in every service.
2) SB is a must get item!!Great stuff!
3) Not sure about the boring the throttle body, but i think you will be happy enough after installed the SB

Welcome again and enjoy!

Cheers
Keith

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your 525!

I would highly recommend a Sprint Booster!

ECU remap would be a great choice as well. I would skip the throttle body, it's a lot of $$$ with little HP in return.
