525i 2004 AHL issues
I am trying to fix a AHL issue on my 5 serie. The green LED near my light switch is blinking. I hope you can help me with this problem. I tried checking VIN numbers, coding to default, fuses, cables and many hours of google. Any help is appreciated. I respond quickly after i get a message.
I already replaced AHL module with same part number but still ghe same error. ISTA D went from red to grey as a module color afterwards.
Concern:
Are these two modules capable of AHL?
The modules
AHL = 6934122
LM = 6943288
the LM module has fault E519
the AHL module gives
Below is my INPA overview ( ignore MULF issue, that is another battle. Also no idea why my most modules have different VIN ).

Whats blinking green? Why are you coding to default if you did not replace a module. Modules do not loose there coding. Your VIN is different in those modules because the previous owner retrofitted CCC and MMI.

The green blinking LED is the one near the light switch when you turn it to auto/off/park/on. I coded the module to default in hoping it was some coding issue since this car had a lot of retrofits added before me.
I also added a replacement AHL module but that did not change the error i get in insta D.

You are focusing on the wrong thing. The AHL is seeing the issue in the system and reporting it. Did you go through the test to see what the issue is. I would say 9/10 your issue is the SMC module under the headlight itself

If something was retrofitted on the light system and you factory coded it then you may have made it worse. Your issue are the SMC. Open up INPA and see if you can manually move the lights.

I still have the old trc file so i can put the original coding back. I was looking in inpa on how to move the controllers yet it could not see the SMC controller.
INPA says "module does not respond" to LM_AHL, FLA and ALC. Only the LM function is available and no SMC option available.

I had a broken AHL with PN 6 934 122 and i found a replacement module with the same PN. Both gave the same error so i tried another AHL with PN 6 934 837. It worked instantly and no coding was needed.
I think the LM module was programmed to the AHL PN 6 934 837 and someone before me replaced that with the wrong PN. That has put me in the wrong direction. Or both module PNs should work and coincidence that the first two modules were broken.
