Hi!
The gearbox in my e60 is acting weird. its shifts perfect in all gears except between 2 and 3 gear. sometimes shifting into 3rd gear feels kinda rough or jerky. when i drive in 3rd gear and slow down it holds the gear for a long time untill the rpm is really low. When the car finally downshift from 3rd to 2nd gear there is some kind of vibration in the car. the vibration and slow downshift gets better after driving for a while. any idea of what might cause this?

Not sure to be honest. the previous owner did it but i have not had the car that long. should i flush the gearbox or just a normal oil + filter service? do you think it will help with rough gear changes?

You have options but it's up to you. A fluid and seal changed with a reset should fix it. I had issues and I did a valve body reman along with fluid, filter and seals change and it solved my issues. There an extensive transmission thread in the DIY section you probably should look at. I'm sure it has your answer
