My Ride: 525d M Sport in Carbon Black
Talking

I never ever thought i'd order a new car.... To be honest i've been an Alfa Romeo fan most of my life since learning to drive in a little Alfasud at the age of 14... 6 months ago i bit a huge bullet and traded my 166 for a 745i SE... thus far my experience with BMW has not been wonderful... the 7 has a habit of lighting up the dash like a christmas tree whenever it feels like it... to cut a long story short the local dealer here in Scotland has agreed to take the car back... with a few incentives I've bitten an even bigger bullet and specced up a 525d M Sport (facelifted model)... due for delivery late March/Early April... it's ok i'm getting to the juicy stuff so you can stop the hehe

E60 525d M Sport (3.0d)
Carbon Black
M Rear Spoiler
Natural Brown Dakota
Dark Poplar High Gloss
M Double Spoke 172 19's
6sp Auto

Auto Dim Int + Folding Ext Mirrors
Extended Interior Light Pack
USB/Audio Interface
Visability Pack
Media Pack

Plus all the standard toys

Does anyone happen to have a link to Images of the 2007 M Sport?, my dealer hasn't even seen it as yet and could only show me the SE pics.

I was told if i make changes my car would be pushed back to an April build, as things stand apparently the German philosophy is to build and ship cars already sold ahead of demo/stock cars. As things stand my dealer is confident the delivery will be last week in March assuming i don't make any changes.

My local dealer (Menzies Stirling) has no new literature; they do however have leather/paint and trim samples which were good for making the choices on colour and trim.

Welcome on board!
Fine choice you have made there.
Whats the USB/Audio interface? Does that replace the Aux connection in the rear centre console as a standard feature, or is it an optional extra for elsewhere in the car?

To my knowledge it's the addition of a usb port as well as the aux port which is standard, from memory it's a ?145 option but from the data I have it will allow both charging of certain usb devices ( possibly laptop/phone etc as well as playing any media contained on a usb memory stick, whateverit is USB is usually a handy little option

Thanks for that, I was in Glasgow today, and went into HB, which is now part of Douglas Park, they had none either.

Bigger isn't always better. Indeed, 5 is greater the 7, although it is mathematically incorrect. Good choice on your new ride.

As being one of the soon-to-be Natural brown dakota owners I'm curious if you know if nature brown is a 2-tone (brown seats, brown door trim but black floor mats etc - like old Auburn color scheme) or if the floor mats, lower dash, door sides, backside of backrest are brown too - like with the dakota beige and gray??

Believe it or not this very thought crossed my mind today... I'm not 100% but I do thing the Natural Brown car will be two tone on the door cards etc... now i'm waivering on my interior choice
