Thumbs up

Hi Guys

I saw the specs of the new 523i in the local newspaper today. It appears the enging capacity is the same 2,1xx cc which makes it the same as the one in my 520i. All specs are identical (hp, torque). So is it just a rename of the 520 to 523? If that's the case, then I don't feel so bad or left out....hehe.

Cheers

Think it's a misprint. That engine M54 is no longer in production. Maybe so that they can clear the current 520 since new 523 is the same. Ok that's wild guess made in jest.

The new 523 has a 2.5 litre engine which is the same as the one in the new 525 but has lower power due to different management system.

The 523i is the replacement for the old 2.2L 520i, but it is a detuned 2.5L engine

The new 523i has 130Kw

Bunbun just debagge your car and you'll be fine. Changes will probably occur to the whole engine range in the future.
