Hi all,
I am looking into getting a 520d touring for my wife. Looking at all the pictures I have seen so far, it has a large single exhaust pipe. However, reading the description on the BMW UK website it says Twin Exhaust Tail Pipes (same description as 525d/530d)?
Is it a change for the new year or is it still the large single one?
Also what kind o leadtime you guys ahve seen dealer initially said 1 month now saying two months...It will be custom built as I am getting few gadgets
Thanks
C

The four cylinder 520d has a single exhaust pipe and non chrome grills.
I'm sure your wife do not have to have the fallonic symbols in her fine new 520dAT

Thanks all for the swift replies. I really don't mind the single exhaust, I was just surprised by the way it was described on the BMW UK website, i guess it must be an error.
I am fine with the the non chrome grills, not a big fan in the 1st place, plus let's face it small trade off to get 45MPG and she gets to have the Heads up display, Media package and a lot of other goodies

The single pipe in the 520 is a large oval one. It looks very powerful and I have had a few comments from people thinking there must be a big engine attached - I've had it debaged. Perception and reality...

Most 520d owners are reporting mid 30's mpg in the 520d's including myself.
45+ is possible but you will have do be doing a steady 60mph 95% of the time on a flat smooth motorway.
hope things will improve in the spring when it gets a little warmer.

Mostly driving around suburbs (30-45MPH) + intown; average fuel consumption around 33MPG;
Car now 650 miles "old". Maybe things will improve after 1000 or 2000 miles... Wait and see....
