I was just sitting here watching Phil Mickelson at the ProAM and thinking about my car which is somewhere on its way to CA. Then I was wondering, when my 4 years of free maintenance would start and end. Does anybody know? I have a European Delivery. Does it end on the 4th anniversary of when I paid for the car? Or on the 4th anniversary of when I took delivery of the car in Munich? Or on the 4th anniversary of when I will take re-delivery of the car in the US?

I'm pretty sure it is 4 years from when you took delivery in Munich.

I asked the same question to my salesman, and was told it began when I drove it off the lot....so I would agree that it likely starts when you take delivery in Europe.

yup, that is the truth. I did ED, and it started on the day I started driving the car.

When they stick my key in the reader for service, there is a screen that comes up with the build date and the in-service date. They gave me a print out. I am pretty sure the warranty is from the in-service date.

I believe it's years from your Munich pickup date.

Not maybe or I think or I believe.Your 4 year maintainence warrenty period begins the day you take delivery over in Munich.Just as it begins the day you take delivery from your BMW Center.(NOT REDELIVERY)

I don't have a maintenance package but in the UK it cost ?750 for 5 years or 60,000 miles (whichever first) and then it went up to ?1,000. So do you guys get a four year package thrown in for nothing?
