Why does my 545 give me a gas warning at 31 miles not 30? Is this associated with metric?

Based on avg fuel consumption, if your's is 15.5 mpg (for example) it means you have 2 gallons left and therefore are into your reserve.

Because it is a German car. Permanent reserve lights up at 50 km left. That is 31.07 miles.

My fuel reserve warning will go off when I get down to 70 miles left.

Mine goes off at about 70 then at around 30 and stay on.

mine is permanently on since gas here is 4.60 a gallon
