After reading about an issue I noticed...the hash marks on the rpm side of the cluster dont work, I tried the cluster test.
I couldn't get it to do it.

So... I decided to remove the ground cable to the battery since when I purchased the car a few wks ago they replaced the battery! I found the positive terminal loose. I tightened it up, checked the CCA at 850 reconnected the ground.

I restarted the car, immediately got 4x4 malfunction, dsc malfunction, trans hill assist brake malfunction. wTF did I do? I started the car to do the cluster test. Couldn't get it to do the test even after I unlocked the thing. Had no error messages. Shut it all off. Disconnected and reconnected battery and now these 3 messages!

I know I didnt fry anything but there must be a way to reset these frivolous warnings. Any ideas before I go to the stealer?

BTW, all the warnings went away after driving the car for about 30 seconds

Glad you discovered the answer yourself. I was going to tell you to drive the car since those items and the whole car, reboot after a battery disconnect.

Did the hash marks start working again or is that a still unsolved mystery? I'm having the same issue on my X5.

No. Hash marks don't work. I can't get the test to initiate either
