Hi:
I had a 330ci E46 before and now I have the 525i E60.
I'm going to buy the snow tires set for my E60.
I just did some research about he bolt pattern size, and I found this:

http://www.discountedwheelwarehouse...._Reference.cfm

as the list shown, the 3 series and 5 series have the same size pattern -- 5x120 -- like M3 and 530i.. ???
so does mean that I can put 3 series rims set on my E60 5 series now..

is this true?
please give me the advise before I go buy one.

won't fit. what's also important is offset. the e46 offset is like 40/45 vs an e60 which uses 20/22.

no you got it right. e46 and e60 have the same bolt pattern but have different offsets.

what is offset?

it can but you have to make sure the spacer isn't going to push the wheel past your fender. know what i mean?

Maybe you can sell your 3 series wheels to someone needing a wheel set for the xi e60. Many of them will fit and work well. Use the cash to buy a proper set for your RWD 5Series. Tirerack has wheel and tire combos for winter. Shop thru the link in my signature to earn cash rebates there and other on-line stores.

thanks guys.
Actually, I'm looking for a set of M5 rims which mounting with snow tires on it,
now, at least I know that the rims on 3 series after 2001 can't fit on the 5 directly.

THat will be quite costly. I know this guy who has a set of 18s replica M5 wheels with blizzaks on them selling for $500 for the set. U need to pick it up in Greenwich, CT though. 19" snow tires arent exactly the cheapest.
