On the N52k engine there are 3 hoses on the firewall. They connect to the heater core. See picture below.

How long are these hoses going to last before they crack and leave you on the side of the road?
I have not seen a Youtube video showing how to replace these hoses from the engine compartment and removing the fire wall plate cover. Is that possible?

I know this is old and maybe you figured it out but, I swapped hoses(all 3) from the engine bay side. I was determined to replace them also. I had manifold off for other part swap. It has to come off to get to firewall, no matter if you're pulling the dash apart, to route the new hoses. It's not hard.
