Just change battery, register.
I get this error code: 2E98 Generator, communication bus error.
Test alternator, everything working just not communicating with computer
Help please if any body knows what is the problem.

Could be the voltage regulator on the back of the alternator starting to go (brushes worn down). I was getting this error too until I replaced mine. How many miles on the car?

 

Did you have anything unusual before you changed battery?

Correct battery used for replacement?

Maybe damaged cable/wires near battery during replacement?
