Only way to avoid it is to get non-staggered wheels, which IMHO look way more crappy than a staggered setup.

Well, I surely thought the optical illusion can be fixed if I where to go with a 245/30 front. Idk???

I'm running 235/35/19 and 275/30/19. It looks fine but I HATE the under steer. Do you guys have the same problem? Or is it just because I am running a 235 front?

Understeer has nothing to do with your tires, stiffen up the rear suspension - either via coilovers or a bigger sway bar, and you'll eliminate the understeer the factory put into your car. Bigger wheels and tires accentuate the factory understeer, so the solution is a stiffer rear suspension. In other words make your as hard.

I was looking into getting this size but now am worried. I am thinking a 235/35 or 245/30 would have looked more appropriate for the fronts if one were to go with a 285/30 rear. Good thing the guy didn't go 275/30 out back. It would have looked horrible.
Those width/profile sizes are for 19" staggered rims, lower profiles should be used on 20" to retain the correct overall diameter.
Anyway, there could be a very simple answer to why they looked odd to you,the tyre pressures may have been set wrong !

If you research enough on this site, you will see these are the sizes commonly used foe 20's as well. The tires looked even where they met the road so they didn't look deflated less then each other it was the top of the tire that you could really tell.

Thanks for the info. I thought that a greater difference in the staggered tires would create more understeer. I guess I haven't really pushed the e60 since I put the rims on. I'll look into one of those options.
