for the past 2yrs started as once or twice and random times, but now happens more often bumpy road or not. my door locks would just randomly lock and unlock on its own, i have turn off all the features in the idrive related to the door and randomly locks and unlocks. even my mechanic is dumbfounded, any suggestions?

 

Something is obviously loose. You may need to take it to an electrical specialist. What DTC codes are being thrown?

 

Donpb is right - there's a problem with a loose connection (or probably more accurately, an intermittent short). I'd try bumping the area around the door lock button to see if you can trigger it - or try slightly moving the switch to see if you can discern any unusual "glitchiness". The problem could be as simple as replacing the lock button. There are probably other less accessible / obvious places where a short could cause that kind of problem... but it's going to be "interesting" to find it (you're going to have to simulate whatever kind of jarring that the bump is causing).

 

no codes and all the door locks would randomly lock/unlock, only happens when in motion never when stationary and even when in motion randomly happens no sequences or when road is bumpy. sometime even when road is smooth would just randomly lock/unlock
