Default 2009 535i major oil leak, 52,xxx

N54 engine, has a rapid oil leak from the rear of the engine, bell housing area.

Link to YouTube video [URL="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pSTMvT1aTrw"] of the engine running WITH oil filler cap loose, steady stream of oil. This is looking into the hole one would normally use to loosen the torque convertor bolts.
With cap tight it still leaks but considerably slower.

Has anyone had a similar leak.

Car was in an accident early on b4 this guy bought it. Dealers haven't been covering anything because of it. Supposedly it had been hit in the front end but it doesn't appear as though the frame was even bent. No sign of it.

Rear main crankshaft seal. I've never seen one leak that bad.

I've never seen any oil leak that bad, Geez. It must have something to do with the accident. That looks like arterial bleeding.

It's just kind of strange that it leaks much faster with the oil cap loose. If it were rear main seal would the crankcase ventilation system vacuum hold the oil from leaking? You would think if rear main seal it would leak at the same rate. Oil filler cap on or not.

Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar leak, and what the source was.
