2008 LCI Xenon Low Beam but Halogen High Beam?
Hello, I exhausted all google searches, it seems that (all?) LCIs are fitted with EITHER Bi-Xenon which I understand means the same (Xenon) bulb for both High and Low Beam or halogens on both. My 2008 LCI has low beam xenon headlights and I am 100% sure the high-beams are halogens (no flash to pass halogens or something like that). I wonder what is up. I see the date on the headlights is @2008 so I guess they're OEM.
While on the matter of headlights, the Xenon bulb that I need is D1S, right? Because I need to change them as one of the bulbs died just today.

@twh This is the part number I think: hella 009 449 01 ah
For the sake of looking up parts, I guessed you have a 12/2007 build 2008 525d with left hand drive. That parts listing for headlight possibilities is here:
https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=63_1013
Next, I took your Hella number and found the Hella catalog:
https://www.hella.com/truck/assets/m...D_HELLA_EN.pdf
If you search in the Hella catalog, you find the "009 449". It is listed as "009 449-011". I think the number after the "-" are just version numbers, so your original light is version 1 and the latest is version 11.
Also in the Hella catalog, the BMW cross references are 63127177727 and 63127177727.
Now, back to the Realoem page...63127177727 and 63127177728 are the base option halogen lamps. There is no Xenon, it is a halogen bulb for both low and high beam. The low beam does have a projector lens.
