2008 E60 - navigation question

My Ride: 2008 BMW 535i
Tried searching but didn't come up with anything.
Is it possible to have the navigation map running on the larger part of the screen when not in guidance mode? I tried playing around with iDrive for a bit and didn't see an option.
I do have the map running on the smaller screen but its quite small.

Yes just go to nav and scroll down to map with traveling direction and click on it, it should show up in the large screen. As for the small screen, once you're n the large map screen, move to the small screen and click it. You should be able to chose some other display options. Please note mine s pre-LCI.

... or you can use voice command: "map", and it will give you the map in direction of travel.
