The indicator showing max allowable revs on the tachometer of my 2005 545i changed with cold engine temperature to encourage use of less than maximum rpm's. On my 2008 550i, this indicator is not changing with cold engine temperature. Does anyone if this feature has been eliminated?

Yes - apparently this has been disabled n LCI models - a search of this forum for 'temperature' should bring up the threads where this was previously discussed.
