Ya the reflector is on the bumper it looks and once you put on the M-Tech Bumper that refelctor is going to be replaced too... so unless BMW also made a new M-Tech bumper for US cars it looks like M-Techs wont have that reflector...

Yup . . . it looks like one piece. But BMW's got to figure out the DOT reg thing. Guess we'll being waiting to figure that one out as well . . .

But the M-Tech gets put on at the VDC... by then the car has gone through US customs and wont get checked again... BMW better figure this out else the first person that gets a ticket w/out having front reflectors they're going to sue BMW...

With the many added improvements of the post 09/06 production of the 550i sport and the inherent smooth contours of the original Bangle interior design, IMO the correct decision was made to buy in December rather than wait for the LCI. I also have several extra thou in my pocket which ain't bad either.
Cheers anyway and enjoy the new '08s!

I found it on the "Circle BMW" web site. I did not see one for the 2008 3 series.

here is a shot of the LCI 550i sport package showing the reflector. Does not seem too bad to me on this lighter color car.

Although I expected the 0-60 performance of the 535 & 550 to be close, I was surprised to see how close: 5.6 & 5.4 sec respectively (man tran)... I know this isn't the only performance factor to consider, but makes justification of the 550 that much harder IMO.

Part of the reason they are so close is that the 535i has a shorter rear end with a 3.08 vs the 550i which has a 2.93. It would be interesting to see the difference between the two cars if they both had the same dirvie ratios.
