Default 2008 550i M tech

Just thought I would try posting a pic. I bought this car back in march of last year and have really enjoyed it so far. I added grills, m5 spoiler and tint, thinking of exhaust, wheels, and springs, but not certain what direction I will go. Name: 550i.jpg

Why would you want to change the style 172 rims? I love mine. makes the car look great.

I like the style, but one of the rims seems to have some edge repair done. Not noticeable to anyone but me, but I am extremely anal with my cars.

Wheels are a personal taste kind of thing (just this forum tends to HATE chrome - me included), I will be putting my 20's on my 550 as soon as I get them refinished and have TPMS sensors put on, but I will not be getting rid of my 172's. Exhaust? I personally LOVE the RPI Exhaust, can't beat the power adding for the price, and the sound is addicting:
I will probably be going with H&R springs myself.
I'd also suggest RPI scoop and BMC filter.
Contact Trinity Autosport (members Nerweezy and Trinityautosport can be messaged here)

I have to have my rims refinished, i hate when i hit the curb when i first got the car i wasnt use to the low profile tires. You can get good money for the rims, so many people want the OEM style rims. I think im just going to get a winter set of wheels and tires and save my good ones for the summer.

Thanks for the exhaust suggestion. I seem to mod everything I have so I am looking at options for this one. As you mentioned rims are a personal opinion. i have thought about 20's, but it seems the car sits a little higher than I would like. I am a very performance oriented guy so wide rubber, low, and small fender gaps are a must. Are you happy with 20's? any issues? I had a vette as my play toy before this, and I think my wife thought the mod bug might stay away on this car... HA!

I love my 20's, but the fenders do have to be rolled in the rear (depending on offset, my 20's are M6 offset which is more aggressive). If you are going to lower the car on springs or coils there really is no added height from the 20's, and 20's just fill the wheel wells so damn well.

LOL, I know I can get good money for the 172's but I want to keep them.

your car is a dead ringer for mine! Get the RPI exhaust, you'll love it. And yes, our cars sit a bit too high, even with sport suspension although yours is sitting pretty low on the front already. Loose the body side molding on the doors, though...

Great looking car! The parking lot I took the picture in was not level, and made the front right look lower tthan it is. I like the roof spoiler, looks good.
