I am in the midst of ordering a set of Forgeline DE3P wheels and trying to figure out what I should do.

I heard that 19" with no lip is fine for the 550i but if you have lip, you should go 20's. I was going to order 20x9 and 20x10

I live in NYC and the streets are obviously terrible. I wanted to go 245/30/20 and 275/30/20 and I was told that I would need
to go 255/30/20 and 275/30/20...technically 285/25/20 in rear, but 25 series is way too small.

What is everyones advice and opinion, or what do people run out there

i'd go 19.
with 20's there just isnt enough rubber between the rim and pavement.

When I got my 06 550i it came with ACS 20x10.5s in the rear. I ran 295/25s on them with no rubbing issues. However, the ride was ROUGH. Also, I ended up cracking one of the rims hitting a speed bump going really fast. I'm now running staggered 19s and am much happier with the ride. As long as it has a lip it looks close enough to 20s for me. Let us know what you get!

i also vote for 19", my friend used to have 20" with 35s in fronts and 30 in back, and it rubs slightly. Having 25s in rear just seems too thin...

If you want a lip, go 20's - 19's look smaller with a lip

BTW I am running 245/35/20 front and 285/30/20 rear no rubbing (fenders rolled)
