2008 535xi Cannot read airbag codes except steering airbag

I am reading fault codes with the bavarian technic tool,

Only Airbag Steering Column Responds (SZL)

others (SIM, Center, Frontdoor left/right, B pillar left/right) do not respond and Time out,

could it mean the airbags are missing?
