My Ride: 535d Sport, carbon black, media pack, visibility pack, grey leather, heated seats, sun protection glass, voice control, Eibach ProKit, 19" 166 style wheels, e-maps ECU remap to 325hp and 640NM, top speed limiter removed
All 520d manufactured (not registered, manufactured) from September 2007 will have the new 177hp engine, the efficient dynamics and the new electronic autobox

...... Trust me, if you have an option, get the SAT, its just great and smooth, plus I love the feature that you can just press "P" on the top of the stick to move the car into park position from any gear automatically...it actually shifts automatically and puts it in park...thats cool

I don't think that combination is possible, maybe you mean the new style shifter: All cars built from September onwards come with 2 types:
1) Normal auto with joystick
2) SAT (not available for 520s)

The 2008 models of 520d have the new automatic gearbox. I have a 2008 520dAT and have the new joy-stick..

Also in the same position. Ordered a car in December from BMW's UK stock to arrive in at dealer early January - told it's a week 46(?) car c/w the new 177bhp engine.
The order form states the following code; E60 520d SE Saloon N47 2.0d LCi 08MY Auto (on the options as code 205) - do people think this will be the old style auto box, or the new X5 joystick type ?
