Hi all new to this I’ve not long bought a 520d msport it’s recently had timing chain etc all done it’s absolutely perfect to drive but when idling has a rattle sound from what seems like the drivers side of the engine as soon as you lift the rpm it stops it’s literally just as the car is ticking over I would appreciate any input cheers

 

Sounds to me like turbo, waste gate rattle.

 

thanks for the reply I’ve done a little research on this today do you know if this can be fixed without replacing the whole turbo.
