2007 E60 Transmission Leaking Please HELP!
After changing the transmission fluid at 130k its now leaking out of the front where there's a 4"x1" plastic clip holding a wire plug? Anyone have any ideas?

Can you post a pic. Did you change the mechatronic seal sleeve with gasket. You may not have pushed it all the way in or may need replacing. I'm just guessing because I have no clue what area you are talking about.

I filled it all the way until it was barely coming out, started it: kept foot on the brake, shifted through all the gears and opened it back up while it was running. Then filled it up til there was a steady slow stream coming out.
Its the plug that's in the rear passenger side of the transmission.
Is it possible that I put to much fluid in it?

You got part of the fill procedure right. It also has a temp limit also. You may have filled it up too much because you were filling it when it was over 40c

Tried stopping it at 41 degrees, or that's the temp I was aiming for when doing it. Ive got most of it tore back apart now. Since I've been reading on these forums not so sure I shouldn't do the solenoids as well. Whats your opinion on that?

Have you been having issues with the delayed 2nd gear to 1st? Are you having issues with it going in to high gear better switching up gears. If so I would do it while you have it apart. Also I would change out the sealing sleeves. There is a great DIY post that gives you step by step instructions on what needs to be done and how to do it in the DIY section. I'll try to find it and post the link.

The only issue I had was it down shifted hard from 2nd to first. Do you have a recommendation on where to get the solenoids? There wasn't any metal shavings at all in the pan. When I ordered the new pan it had the mechatronics sleeve and one other gasket in it. Would those be what your talking about replacing?
