I just picked up a 2007 BMW 525i from a family member that has been siting for a month. Installed, registered new battery. The car's accessories comes on, then push start again the car turns off. These codes on the DME comes up:

DME/DDE CD99 D4
DME/DDE CD9E 54
DME/DDE CD9D 54
DME/DDE CDB0 54

Also tried scanning the EGS, my Autel Maxisys MK808 scanner states it has no communication on the EGS. Can someone help me with this issue. The car has 153k

The problem is the lack of knowledge being the issue or the mech is bad. Someone tried to do a transmission service and didn't do it correctly. Check the mech sleeve to make sure it's in all the way and reattach the cable. You may want to do the service over just to make sure nothing else was done wrong.

I also forgot to state i cant even take it out of gear. I'm new to the BMW game. Those sleeves tell the car what gear it is in?

Without that sleeve in correctly the cable is not attached to the mechatronic which means no communication. If it's not plugged in you have no transmission. There's an extensive transmission service thread in DIY section. Look at it and you'll understand it completely.

Right now, I'm at Ft. Rucker Alabama. My family lives in Warner Robins. When doing the mechatronic sleeves, what gear does the vehicle need to be in? The reason why the car wont crank is because it's not reading the transmission?

It should be in park with the battery disconnected when doing any work on the transmission.
