So i got a really weird issue with my 550i. Got the warning for wiper malfunction and the wipers just won't stop running and everything on the steering column and steering wheel stopped working.
The weird issue is that the problem will go away for a few days and will just come back again. Also when I switch off or on the car the steering column moves into the right position but when i use the knob on the steering column nothing happens. FOr now i have pulled the fuse for wipers so it is not going but really want to get this fixed. Dealer will charge an arm and a leg so wondering if someone has seen a similar problem and can help here. Thanks in advance.
What i have already tired is disconnected the battery but that didn't help.

This problem is extremely rare. It used to happen very infrequently on the e65 7s and a lot more on older BMWs of all models. It looked like it came down to a defective wiper stalk. However, with all of your functions not working on your steering wheel, that points to a module (SZL?) that has gone bad and effectively caused the wiper malfunction.
