I've been searching here, but I can't seem to find a list of all changes that the 2008 550i has over the 2007 550i. Can someone kindly point me to one? I have an 05 530i and am looking to go to a 550i. Can order a new 2008 or get a loaded 2007 for cheaper perhaps. Depends on what the changes are. I can see the obvious facial changes and the 19" rims, but other than that?
May be this link helps you...

urbo -- where've you been hiding? Glad to see you pop back in here to get the info you are looking for.

As mentioned above, one of the main things that they changed for 2008 is the interior. The following documents will give you a little more information on the 2008 cars (the document TitangrauII530iA posted should be helpful as well):

2008_5_series_highlights.pdf
2008_5_series_description.pdf
2008_5_series_features.pdf
US_Product_Planning_and_Strategy_Bulletin.pdf
2008_5_series_specs.pdf

If that's not enough, search the forums here and use "LCI" as a search term. LCI is another name for the 2008 cars...

Good luck!

For 08, the 550 has:

New headlamp and taillight treatment
Upgraded interior
Available iPod integration
Available lane departure warning
Available sport automatic transimission
Available sport package now includes aero package, 19-inch 172 wheels, upgraded exhaust, upgraded sport suspension and short-throw shifter for the manual transmission

I may have missed something, but that's the bulk of it.

Just for completeness since this is an international board...

LCI and Model Year 2008-on are synonymous for the NA market only. LCI for EU refers to models launched in March 2007 and the EU MY 2008 doesn't start until September.

If you click here you'll see a press release from BMW Munich about the MY2008 for EU.

Maybe you can check out "Download 1" and get the Word document (it's a local Javascript link) and arrange for the document to be uploaded to this site to share pride of place among the NA 2008 Press Releases??

Thanks guys - I'll have a lot of reading to do

Is the M Sport package even available in the US for the 535i if I were to go that route? I don't see it on BMW's US website. Curious.

Hey Rudy - just been busy with work/life and other things. I'm back now as I have to make a good decision. Go 2007 Pats

Welcome back -- I think you made a mistake though -- it's Go 2007 Steelers!

Here we go Steelers, here we go!

(It's funny how you weren't around in the Fall of 2005 into the beginning of 2006 to witness my gloating on the Steeler's 5th Super Bowl victory -- how'd the Pats do since then again? )

Again, good to have you back...

LOL, yes I can imagine it. But this season so far it looks very promising for the Pats. Is Ben up to the task ya think? Or Mike (HC)? This will be a season that will make or break the new Steelers IMO. We shall see. Indy is our main competitor now. Who will cover Moss?

We'll see -- I think Ben will be much better after having some time between the motorcycle accident and/or other surgeries.

As for head coach Mike Tomlin -- we'll see, I guess...right now it seems that the mood is upbeat and people are happy with him.
