Hi guys,
New member to the forum and to the BMW club also. I've been spending countless hours here trying to soak up as much information as possible, plotting and planning what upgrades to do next much to my wife's chagrin.


Anyhoo - I'm in the process of installing the front camera mod and tried to find posts regarding how folks were able to run a wire through the the firewall into the passenger compartment. I found this post to be the most useful, but I'm not sure if the same instructions would also work for my car. It looks like Wolfgang also removed a bunch of stuff to get better access to the firewall - and I'm struggling to pin point exactly what was removed.

I'd really like to go through the passenger side (wire will be fed to the video unit near the glove box area and I've already got all the trim off in that area) if at all possible and was hoping if anybody on here could give me some guidance as to the best possible way to get through the firewall. Driver's side will be fine, if that's the only option.

I'm taking pictures as I go along and promise to post them on here as soon as the job is complete.
