Up until Monday of this week, I had a 2006 530i with Premium, Sport and Navigation. 56,000 wonderful miles. A woman ran a red light and t-boned me at around 40 MPH. The car saved my life, but now it's been declared a total loss. I'm going to pick up a 2008 535i with identical equipment. What changes should I look forward to? Are there any changes you think I won't like?

Thanks!

I am sorry to hear about your unfortunate mishap. I am glad glad to hear you are ok. I unfortunately do not have an 08 so I cannot chime in. Just wanted to say I am glad all is well.

Sorry to hear about your accident. Glad to hear you are okay. In regards to the LCI vs. Non-LCI, here's pdf file on LCI changes...

Same hear. Glad to hear your OK.

Nice to hear how well the E60 protects you in the event of an unfortunate incident.

Don't know for sure, but I'm sure there are some nice variations, over the 2006 model to help you get over the loss of your old E60.

WOW!!! Happy to hear that you are ok and also happy to hear that they totalled your car. I had a 330Ci for a while and I loved that car. I thought the engine was nice with above average acceleration (for it's time). That being said, the 535 is several steps ahead of the 530 IMO. If you like the 530 then you will love the 535. They freshened up the interior and exterior since 06, but the big pay off is that twin turbo engine. Enjoy!

What do you want to know about the car. It is as fast as all Get Up... Defiantly get the sports pack for the seats and the active sway bars...
535i come with HID's so other than Leather ( required on comfort seats) every thing else is up to you. There are some interior differences that are pointed out in the LCI pdf with comparison pictures.

You'll get pritty good gas millage as most have been reporting with the 535s ( it's a turbo car that weights a alot, so don't expect Jetta TDI #'s). In town depents on ac usage and right foot, on highway in the low to mid 30's.

The 08's are not in production any more, so you kinda left with what is on lots, or wait till 09, higher prices, new version of Navi and Idrive though.

Sport Auto Trans. is a pretty cheap investment as well, Shift times are lightning quick.
The sport pack includes a lot of what is on the 545/550i sports package , minus the 172's and Mtech body parts. The 124's are not bad though ( easy enough to clean the break dust ).

I definately agree about the wheels. They look very good IMO and they are simple to clean which I love. On my 330Ci, I had those double-spoked wheels (not sure of the number/style), but they were a big pita to clean.

You gotta LOVE these cars, they take the impact for us and we just move on to the next E60!! The 535 is a completely different car due to the engine/power etc. You'll love it!!
