My Ride: On Order as of May 6- 2007 530i Titanium Grey and Grey Leather, with Sport Package, Premium Pkg, Cold Pkg. 2006 Porsche Boxster
Default

I understand that the 2006 5-series is sold out or done with the production run. Thus I had to order mine as a 2007.

The dealer could never articulate any real differences other than a higher price.

What is new and improved if anything?

I would tell you to search the site, but a quick search was not able to turn up what I thought would readily be available. So I will go by memory

Aux input standard
Comfort Seats now part of sport package
Sport steering wheel from SMG equipped cars standard with Sports Package
HD Radio option
Night Vision Option

and one more thing that I can not remember!

With your constant track record you'll have it in 2 years! Well, actually more like 1 1/2

The one more thing I think is the TPM now shows what tire is flat rather than make you guess. Also I think in the 2007's you get 4 years of BMW Assist.

No, unfortunately not, you get the steering wheel without the paddles.

PS - Thanks ImolaRedM for pointing out the TPM

You did do the right thing. Always get the freshest one awailable!

BMW is a European (German) manufacturer and the MY's change in September each year.

In US the new MY (do the some local thinking) starts in March.

We are all looking foreward to the new 535i twin-turbo engine (maybe the EU MY '07)
and to the real facelift in Sept. 2007 (?), that would be the MY '08 car here in EU.
